With the JAMES dementia watch, disorientated residents receive the best possible protection with minimal restriction of their freedom.
When disorientated people have a tendency to wander, this is a particularly big challenge for care staff. Very few facilities have a "secure" dementia ward, which means that all doors are always open. Electronic monitoring of door exits is extremely expensive. A good solution to this problem is offered by the JAMES emergency watch.
Residents with a tendency to wander are given the inconspicuous JAMES emergency watch, which they wear permanently on their wrist. The watch has a SIM card and excellent localisation functions (GPS, WLAN). If there is no WLAN available in your facility, it is simply necessary to connect it to the JAMES Locator to be retrofitted.

The resident is not at the designated place at a certain time (z. e.g. in the dining room). The carer in charge can now actively query the position of the person wearing the watch using a PC/tablet/smartphone. The resident can then be retrieved.

For residents who should generally not leave the facility, it is very easy to create a movement zone in the JAMES system. The zone has a minimum diameter of 100 metres.
If the watch wearer leaves this zone, the alarm is triggered after a few minutes. A predefined telephone number (or several if required) (z. e.g. the ward mobile phone) and inform the care staff that the resident has left. As described above, the absent person can now be easily located and retrieval can be initiated.
